Max Altitude:
The maximum height for the Kori Trek is 3,800 meters (12,467 feet), reached at the viewpoint of Kori Danda (or Kori Himal), which offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. This grassy ridge serves as a high pasture and a key destination for trekkers, with shorter climbs to even higher points like Thulake (4,115m) nearby for even better vistas.

A typical Kori Trek is a 6-7 day journey from Pokhara, focusing on Sikles village, Kapuche Glacier Lake, and Kori Danda viewpoint, involving drives to Sikles and trekking to Hugu Goth, then Nohtha, reaching Kori Danda for stunning views before returning, often with a cultural day in Sikles. It’s known for its rhododendron forests and offers a blend of cultural immersion and alpine scenery, with variations depending on whether you start from Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Days 1-2:

Arrive in Kathmandu, sightseeing, and preparation. Welcome dinner with guide. 

Day 3: Flight/Bus to Pokhara

Day 2: Pokhara to Sikles Drive from Pokhara to Sikles (3-4 hrs), explore the Gurung village.

Day 3: Sikles to Hugu Goth Trek through forests to Hugu Goth (4-6 hrs).

Day 4: Hugu Goth to Nohtha Hike to Kapuche Lake (briefly) and continue to Nohtha (5-7 hrs total).

Day 5: Nohtha to Kori Danda Ascend to Kori Danda (3,800m) for panoramic views (4-5 hrs).

Day 6: Kori Danda to Sikles Descend from Kori Danda, returning to Sikles (6-7 hrs)

Day 7:  Explore Sikles / Rest Enjoy the village, local culture, or rest.

Day 8: Sikles to Pokhara Drive back to Pokhara (3-4 hrs). 

Days 6 or 8: Return back to Kathmandu or to next planned region/excursion.
