Season: 
The best times for this expedition are the Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to December) seasons. 

 

A Larkya Peak climb itinerary is generally 18-21 days, starting with arrival in Kathmandu for preparation and sightseeing, followed by a drive to Soti Khola to begin the Manaslu region trek to Sama Gaon. After acclimatization in Sama Gaon and Samdo, the trek continues to Larkya Peak Base Camp, then High Camp for the summit attempt on Day 15 or 16, before descending to Bimthang via Larkya La Pass. The trek concludes with a drive back to Kathmandu for departure.

Itinerary

Days 1-2: Arrive in Kathmandu, sightseeing, and preparation. Welcome dinner with guide. 

Days 3-10 Manaslu Circuit to Sama Gaon: 

Day 3: Drive to Soti Khola. 
Day 4: Trek to Machha Khola. 
Day 5: Trek to Jagat. 
Day 6: Trek to Deng. 
Day 7: Trek to Namrung. 
Day 8: Trek to Lho Village. 
Day 9: Trek to Sama Gaon. 
Day 10: Acclimatization day in Sama Gaon, with a side trip to Manaslu Base Camp or Punggen Gompa. 



Day 11: Trek to Samdo. 
Day 12: Acclimatization day in Samdo. 
Day 13: Trek to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi). 
Day 14: Trek to Larkya Peak Base Camp. 
Day 15: Trek to Larkya Peak High Camp. 
Day 16: Summit Larkya Peak (6,249m or 6,416m) and return to Base Camp. 
Day 17: Reserve day for weather or extra acclimatization. 

Day 18: Cross Larkya La Pass and trek to Bimthang. 
Day 19: Trek to Dharapani. 
Day 20: Drive from Dharapani back to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner with guide.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
