Season:
The best seasons for the Ruby Valley Singla Pass trek are Spring (March-May) for blooming rhododendrons and clear views, and Autumn (September-November) for stable weather, crisp air, and excellent mountain panoramas. While trekking is possible outside these peak times, monsoon (June-Aug) brings rain, and winter (Dec-Feb) brings snow and cold, making the pass potentially impassable and camping difficult.
The Ruby Valley Singla Trek is an off-the-beaten-path Himalayan journey in Nepal’s Ganesh Himal region, offering rich Tamang culture, stunning panoramic mountain views (Langtang, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal), waterfalls (Ganga-Jamuna), sacred lakes (Kalo/Seto Kunda), and authentic homestays, all while exploring a region rich in minerals like rubies and zinc, making it ideal for cultural immersion and wilderness lovers.
Key Features:
Location: Nestled between Langtang National Park and Manaslu Conservation Area in the Dhading & Rasuwa districts.
Views: Breathtaking vistas of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang Lirung, Lamjung Himal, and even parts of Annapurna.
Culture: Deep dive into Tamang, Gurung, and Ghale traditions through homestays, offering authentic experiences.

Highlights:
Singla Pass (4,250m/13,940ft), Pangsang La Pass, holy Kalo Kunda & Seto Kunda lakes, ancient ruby/zinc mines, and hot springs.
Difficulty: Moderate, with varied terrain, requiring good fitness, but offers a true escape from crowded trails.
Experience:
You’ll traverse diverse landscapes, from forested trails to alpine meadows, experiencing traditional village life and local hospitality. The trek balances adventure with cultural immersion, appealing to those seeking wilderness and authentic Himalayan life.
Our favorite part of this trek is that it provides a genuine, less-commercialized adventure. It is also the location of Prem’s homeplace and holds a special place in our hearts.
